Compass Physio was set up by Colin Phillips in Oct 2016 to provide Chartered Physiotherapy services to the people of Castlecomer and the surrounding area. We cover all major health insurance companies and work in closely with other health professionals such as GP’s, dietitians, occupational therapists and sports masseurs.

COLIN PHILLIPS

Colin’s undergraduate studies began with a 2 year Certificate in Applied physiology and Health Science in Carlow, Ireland. Following this he went on to study a further 3 year Honours Physiotherapy Degree programme at the University of Liverpool in England. He is always keen to undertake postgraduate study and expand his knowledge base to improve his expertise.

PATRICK MULLIGAN – MCSP AACP ISOM

Paddy comes from a background of working in professional Rugby League with Warrington Wolves. He graduated from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen in 2007 with a clinical excellence award.

Paddy is a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sport Medicine (ACPSM) and has qualifications in Acupuncture and Orthopaedic Medicine.

BRIAN GLYNN – PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Brian is a chartered physiotherapist who graduated with a honours degree from Northumbria University, Newcastle Upon Tyne in 2013. He completed his NHS rotations in the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Trust.

Since then his career has been grounded in both Musculoskeletal and elite level sports Physiotherapy. He worked as a senior Musculoskeletal physiotherapist at Spire Hospital Liverpool. He also worked for Liverpool Football Club where he was responsible for injury management and rehabilitation of the schoolboy academy players.

JACK KIRBY – SPORTS REHABILITATOR

Jack began her study in the area of sports medicine and exercise with a distinction in Nursing Studies, FEETAC Level 5 at Ormond College in Kilkenny. Jack is currently a fourth year Sports Rehabilitation and Athletic Therapy student at Institute of Technology, Carlow.

She is currently finishing her clinical work placement at Compass Physiotherapy before completing her degree in May, 2018. Jack has a keen interest to expand her expertise through continued professional development and plans to expand her knowledge in soft tissue and articular manual therapy.
